Given that we should not take others to court, if someone were violating the ethical requirements of a profession which could lead to censure or worse, would you as a Christian just look the other way or would you participate in the legal process which would bring penalties on the erring practitioner?

The Bible clearly tells us that civil government has a role in human life that is  part of God's plan.

Christians who are told to forgive and not required to relieve a person of the consequences of their acts, but that does not meant that they are required to enforce those consequences.
