Rahab Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Just can't respond to this stuff anymore. It is wrong and the bible shows so... Women are never to be the leaders of the church. Men have been given that position in the church and the family. They are to be leaders. God did this for a reason. In heaven, we will be equal but not here on this sinful earth. Quote
CoAspen Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Yu say you're tired of the subject, but then you through out a challenge...... Quote In heaven, we will be equal but not here on this sinful earth. Me thinks you are not so tired of subject JoeMo 1 Quote
CyberGuy Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 hehehe. never tired of this subject. Just wait till Ted Wilson and his cronies tries to disband the Unions who Ordain women. Then watch World War III break out in the church. Many church members will resort to diverting tithe directly to the conferences rather than let it go to the world church who is bigoted in their views of women even speaking from the pulpit much less being ordained. The problem with your argument is that the more conservative members are the more faithful givers. What if those members in the respective rebellious conferences diverted their tithe to the world church or even another division such as the InterAmercan division. I know I have seriously considered it. It would even be good if someone set up an organization to collect the tithes here in the NAD and divert it to more faithful divisions who are engaged in the gospel commission instead of carrying on with worthless social justice movements. CyberGuy Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Get used to it. We will NEVER Surrender our conscience to the dictates of POPE Ted Wilson. He can try all the shanigan tactics he pulled at the last Fall council like after being defeated 29 to 26 to drop the 15 page unification document Ted Wilson ordered the counting of the absentee ballets that turned the vote in his favor. This was an unprecedented move than was NEVER done before. Then the part of the document that said that voting is a privilege not a right and if they did not sign a loyalty pledge to abide by ALL of the policy or be denied voting rights until they did sign it. Well that was the last straw. To much for the delegates who according to the auditors 81 percent of the divisions were OUT OF POLICY on some point. So if voted and approved any GC president in the future can use that unity document to punish those who are voting against his agenda. A very dangerous document and why it was rejected. Rahab Posted October 15, 2017 Author Posted October 15, 2017 nothing wrong with speaking from the pulpit or Sabbath school but NOT the leader of the church, never in the bible or history of our church has a woman been a leader... prophetess? yes high priest? no EGW gave sermons/messages from the pulpit. CyberGuy Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 EGW was one of the FOUNDING fathers and women of our church. Check Wiki on SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS. They say Ellen White was one of the leaders and Founders of the church. So you are wrong about that. Prophets are just as much leaders as are preachers. Quote Riverside CA

Have not heard that but here is the low down. The fall council is made up of all division presidents Union presidents and conference presidents in the world Church. BUT Southeastern California Conference is denied a vote because the SECC president is a woman and GC policy states the conference president has to be ordained so Ted Wilson will NOT recognize her as president. Go to the adventist yearbook and you will find that there is just a line in place of conference president. I Emailed the Yearbook and asked them why they left out Sandra Roberts as Conference president and they replied they were ORDERED by the GC Administration to leave her name out of the yearbook. I asked by GC administration did they mean Ted Wilson. I got no reply to that. That speak a TON that I hit the nail on the head and they did not want to admit it in writing. Quote Riverside CA
Moderators Bravus Posted October 15, 2017 Moderators Posted October 15, 2017 There may well be a schism in the Adventist church, as there has in the Anglican (Episcopalian) church, over this issue. The OP does seem to be a little bit 'I'm tired of this topic because I know what I think and there's no point in any further discussion'. I guess you're free to opt out of the discussion, since it seems you're unlikely to change your mind anyway. Women who have been called to minister as servant leaders, however, don't have the luxury of deciding it's all too tedious. (Incidentally, the OP seems to think and speak of leaders as rulers, rather than as servants. That may be part of the problem.) Quote Truth is important

Just got an update on this.... apparently we did sign something to the effect that we would not point fingers at anyone and call them out on such things.... as... identifying the little horn, and who is the beast of rev. 13, and the woman who rides the dragon in Rev. 17...are we not to warn the world about the 3rd angel's message? as far as signing an agreement to put aside our doctrines and join with all the other evangelicals with the papacy it seems we did not sign that agreement.
