Rahab Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 So many people today looking up at the sun and experiencing the eclipse. We had to make a few phone calls and got right through every time with no waiting time because no one is calling today.... everyone is looking up. Wouldn't it be nice if they all were looking up to Jesus and looking forward to His soon coming? And the righteous living would not even need glasses to see Him...how wonderful! Waiting for His deliverance. LifeHiscost and phkrause 2 Quote
Rahab Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 the other thought is that if it were reported that Jesus was in Oklahoma, then in Missouri, then in Illinois, KY, SC, etc. then people would flock there too right? what does the bible say? Quote

Since it says, "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man." that would indicate to me, very few, comparatively speaking, will be ready to meet Jesus when He arrives the second time. 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.....1 Peter 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be....Matthew 24 God is Love!~Jesus saves! LifeHiscost Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I would like to say the bible also says... 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; Revelation 7 That would, I assume, be including all those receiving salvation from all ages, not just those from the end times. I'm reminded of this: Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. In other words, don't go there... this counterfeit of the 2nd coming will be Satan impersonating Christ all around the world. LifeHiscost 1 Quote

God is Love!~Jesus saves! there will be many saved from all time as many will come up from the graves of the righteous from all time and join with the righteous living.... Jesus was shown this by the angel that gave Him strength in the garden to go through with His suffering the wicked living will run and hide or die instantly and the wicked dead will sleep in the graves until after the 1,000 years according to the bible at least this is how I understand it from original SOP and KJV bible... God bless Just nosy but wanted to ask you how Rahab came to be your name? She was the biblical character that let the spies out the window. I''m imagining her profession most likely wasn't the primary reason. Sorry to be so politically incorrect but the fact that Jesus chooses some seemingly unsavory characters (Saul/Paul)to be His disciples made me think there had to be quite a story behind the answer. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days. 31By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies in peace, did not perish with those who were disobedient....Hebrews 11 God is Love!~Jesus saves! Rahab Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 the name? .... ha! I was to join another forum and they would not allow me to have that name so I never did join... my thoughts are that while Rahab did not start out so well, in the end she did well and was saved and will be saved and in the Kingdom that's my goal, while I don't feel so perfect in this life, maybe in time, Jesus will circumcise my heart & perfect my character for heaven... I know that if I will make every good choice on my own part, He will finish me... JoeMo and LifeHiscost 2 Quote

JoeMo Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I was in Casper, WY at an SDA campsite for the total eclipse. I can tell you that it was one of the most profound experiences I can remember. As I was watching it in awe and wonder, I couldn't help but think that looking at the wonder of this eclipse will be nothing compared to the awe and wonder of watching that still-small could approach the earth with ever increasing glory ...
