The cited statemenets that Barrett is alleged to have made are such that might concern some people.  They reflect a personal belief that is clearly related to specific issues that might come before her court. For this reason it was appropriate for her to be questioned on them.  The appropriate line of questioning would be to attempt to determine the extent to which those personal beliefs would  impact on her decisions as to the law.  I do not find any indication that would allow me to construe that he legal decisions  would be  impacted by her personal beliefs.  This is what we want in judges.  But, it is appropriate to clarify this issue and those who questioned her were appropriate in doing so.
