8thdaypriest Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Great article Gregory. Some of my favorite memories of my Dad, are Sabbath memories. I was raised SDA by my Mom, but My Dad was not a believer. He would take us - my brother, sister and me - out to the desert on Sabbath, or beach combing after we moved to California, so my Mom could take a good nap. We would look for interesting rocks or creatures. He taught us how to make a fire and roast marshmallows. Funny how God now seems like my Dad, spending quality bonding time with us on Sabbath. I don't have many Sabbath memories of my Mom, except her scolding my younger brother, telling him to be quiet or stop poking my little sister during church service (which we all disliked immensely).
