1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human, (NET)

Hebrews 7:17 For here is the testimony about him: "You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek." (NET)

Psalm 110:4 The LORD makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it: "You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek." (NET)

NOTE:  Melchizedek was a king and a priest on the earth.  Which means that Jesus the Christ must also be a king AND a priest on the earth.
