It was 1941 and the U.S. Government developed a 3-question test.  If you passed the test, you were offered training which if you passed gave you a good job in serving your country.  The 3-questions:

1)  Are you female?

2)  Do you like to do crossword puzzles?

3) Are you married.

The following answers were required to pass the test:  yes, yes and no.

Some 11,000 women passed the test, took the training and began work in Washington D.C. as code breakers deciphering enemy communications.
