Many Adventists are concerned that the SDA denomination might be in danger of splitting.  Some believe that such might be a good thing and hasten the 2nd Adventist.

A provocative view that suggests that it might be a good thing may be found at:

Aaaarrrrgggg!!! Enough already! The fact of some people wanting to continue the fight over "issues" is telling me there is a lack of faith in Gods control of the end. For me it is no longer an issue, what ever the issue it is at the moment! My belief is that my life is in the hands of God,  not the .org, local church, etc. I also believe that it is the HS who brings people to God regardless of how the message is presented to them. This constant angst and hand wringing needs to stop and if the .org/others don't want it too, then folks it is time to live your life, if not already doing so, in such a way that others will ask "What is your spiritual connection and to whom".

Only one individual/leader benefits from all of this...and they are not human! So lets deny that benefit and let the world know that salvation comes through Christ and Christ only. Period, end of game!!

it never fails to amaze me how much time and energy is wasted on the women's ordination issue in the SDA church...

Satan isn't concerned about who delivers the gospel message... he's just ecstatic that the SDA church is arguing about it.

Can't believe so many have fallen for this  ploy.

Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Wanderer, you asked about Fulcrum7:  I gave that citation because I thought the article was well said and worthy of consideration.  This was an example of my posting a reference with which I am not in agreement with at least part of    what is posted.  The person behind Fulcrum 7 is  well known to us here in this forum.  At one time he regularly posted.  I have some major disagreement with him in some areas.  But, I can respect him in many ways to include the work that he is attempting to do.  So, I decided to post a reference to what  he has posted on the subject.

As I have stated in the past;  What I cite in a post may not be in agreement with my personal position on the subject.  Sometimes it is and sometimes it is not.

Are you sure that "benefit" is the correct word here?

Yup, Lucifer!

Splitting of the denomination certainly would be confusing but we have a Biblical example to guide us: The division of Biblical Israel into northern and southern kingdoms...

I have read Spectrum sporadically for 35 years and they seem to take interest in every divisive and hurtful thing they can find or manufacture within the church. It would be unfortunate for our church, which was founded in part through the efforts of a woman, to split over this issue. I have had the opportunity to attend SDA churches on 4 continents,  in many different circumstances, and don't I see this happening. Some people will almost surely leave regardless of whether women are ordained or not, so IDK that one decision is preferable to the other in that respect. Given that EGW had such a prominent role in the beginnings of the church, it would make sense to me that women be ordained at least in the divisions where doing so would not be terribly disruptive. steve
