Dr. Shane Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Well, Hallmark has done it again. An awesome movie that highlights Christian faith in life's trials. Though None Go With Me Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Denise Posted April 10, 2006 Moderators Posted April 10, 2006 Hey Shane, I just finished watching that movie!! I cried like a baby, specially at the end of it. It sure was an awesome movie. My hubby taped it last night for me, for he knew that I would enjoy this movie. He knows I love romance, and it had some good clean romance in there. It was great! prov31wife Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Oh man, I cried during and after this good movie! It was really really good--especially the part where Will says, "Thank you for choosing me" as he is dying...oh my gosh! That was good... Quote
Moderators Denise Posted April 10, 2006 Moderators Posted April 10, 2006 Also the end, where they have her surprise party, and Ben shows up, after all those years, they still love each other, but they both did the right thing. They were devoted to God, and now, they are rewarded in being with each other after all those years! Boy, was I in tears at that part!! What a love that only God can give! Moderators Denise Posted April 11, 2006 Moderators Posted April 11, 2006 She was suppose to marry Ben, that was her first love. They were so much in love. It was so nice watching that part! Then, he felt impressed by God to serve in the war as a Chaplain there. But, first let's back up. Will is her friend that she has known and grown up with. He's in love with her, but she doesn't find out right away. She finds out this when Will recognizes that this new Chaplain, Ben and her are in love. He then goes over to her place and ask her hand in marriage. She tells him she loves him, but as a dear friend. So, then Will goes over to Ben, the new Chaplain in town, and tells him in words like this,"Don't hurt her, you don't know just what you have" Then that's when Ben proposes to her. They plan to get married, and then he feels called by God to go over to the war and be a chaplain there. She is in tears, she is worried he may get killed. He goes over, and then, boom! She gets this notice from an officer who comes to give her the news that the hospital was hit by a bomb or something, and he never got out. So, she is really devastated, her true love is killed! Then, to make matters worse, her dad dies, she finds out that they are going to take away the house, etc. and she has no where to go. Well, that is when her friend Will offers to help her as a friend. He offers her a job, and a spare room she can stay in his home. And......you have to watch the rest to see what happens.....she does end up falling in love with Will, but not like the love she had for Ben...then something else happens, you wouldn't believe it! And that, you will have to watch and find out yourself...we taped the movie, want a copy? Quote Be Kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another... Amelia Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 It's ok to keep the copy you made. I don't think it's ok to mass produce it or show it to a group for profit.
