Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted October 18, 2017 Moderators Posted October 18, 2017 A few minutes ago, I turned on a TV and I caught the last few minutes of the program Jeopardy. In those few minutes a standard was set that may last for years. * The winner, who will come back tomorrow, won with a total sum of winnings of $1.00, yes, one dollar! * The person who came in as the 2nd place with a sum of $0.00, yes, zero dollars, will go home with a $2,000 consolation prize. * The third place finisher with a sum of $0.00, yes zero dollars, will go home with a $1,000 consolation prize. So, the losers got the most amount of money and the winner got the least amount of money. JoeMo 1 Quote Gregory
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 18, 2017 Members Posted October 18, 2017 lol ... I saw that, too. I wonder if it's ever happened previously.. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted October 18, 2017 Author Moderators Posted October 18, 2017 Here is what I understood about his statement: * It had been a very long time since a winner had won with a winnings of $1.00. My additional understanding is that it is only in recent times that the 2nd and 3rd place persons have received the cash amounts that were additional to their winnings. If this is true, it then follows that this may be the first time that the two people lost received more money than the winner. JoeMo 1 Quote Gregory
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted October 21, 2017 Moderators Posted October 21, 2017 But the winner came back the next day. And besides that, he already had more than $50,000 in his total combined winnings up to that date. [I think, anyway.] phkrause 1 Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
