Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted October 23, 2017 Moderators Posted October 23, 2017 The following article is a review of a recent book on a portion of SDA history. It should be of interest to all who want to know more about SDA history. https://atoday.org/the-kelloggs-the-battling-brothers-of-battle-creek/ Quote Gregory
Administrators debbym Posted October 23, 2017 Administrators Posted October 23, 2017 So we became a wealthier denomination as a result of the energies of the Kellogg brothers. The Loma Linda medical hospital remains vulnerable. From this article "One of the biggest fears in the future is that the government will repeal and replace Affordable Care Act. According to the bond rating bureau Loma Linda Medical Center, owned by the General Conference, the hospital shows a weak liquidity and has an obligation of $889 million in revenue bonds for construction and improvements." I live in a community where we just lost our adventist Hospital. I recently spoke with with a gentlemen whose community also lost their adventist Hospital suddenly, it just closed it's doors. I trust the business of the church to simply give the great message of the Gospel will go forward with or without the hospitals, with or without great wealth, by the power of the Holy Spirit. phkrause 1 Quote deb Love awakens love.
