Clean Car

I am pleased to announce that I am now certified by the State of California to be driving a "clean car."  I do not think that any Adventist should drive a dirty care, it simply does not represent the faith well!  :)

The decal that you see in the photo, is one of four (4) that are now on display for the world to see that my car is clean!

In 2009 and as amended in 2016, the California legislature passed a law that established this clean car program.  The decals at that time came in yellow, green and white.  In 2011 the legislature revoked the yellow stickers, but the green and white remain.

All kidding aside:  I once lived in Asia and I drove an American vehicle.  In that country, in order to maintain my vehicle license, I had to keep the car freshly painted, free from rust and generally looking nice--e.g. dents repaired and painted.  If I failed to do so, I could have my vehicle license revoked.

When living in Massachusetts we also had to have our vehicles up to code. No rust etc., but never got a sticker for our efforts. :)

When living in the Los Angeles area back in '72/73, I remember that sometimes the police would setup places where they would pull you over and do an inspection on your vehicle!
