Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted November 9, 2017 Moderators Posted November 9, 2017 Let us consider that the Earth is divided into two hemispheres--The Northern and the Southern. Many of us live in the Northern hemisphere and Bravus lives in the Southern hemisphere. In the Northern hemisphere, at the present time, the month of July is in the middle of the Summer while at the same time, Bravus, living in the Southern hemisphere is in the middle of the Winter. O.K. We got that. We understand that. However, some 13,000 years from now, in the month of July, we who live in the Northern hemisphere will be in the middle of our Winter and Bravus will be in the middle of the Summer, if he lives that long. This is due to fact that the axis of the rotation of the Earth does not remain fixed. Due to the fact that that axis is tilted, it is engaged in something that has been named "precession." Each 13,000 years, or so, the seasons of the year are reversed. Yes, and in about 26,000 years things will be about what they are today. Hopefully, this information fact will help you to plan for your future. NOTE: Do not take this fact to mean that in climate change humans are not the major reason for what we experience today.
