Or if you like your own Bible and wish to follow a chronological plan you can download the Blue Letter Bible pdf which you can use with your own Bible to read in chronological order. An early example of chronological order is that you will stop reading in Genesis right before Abraham and then will be directed to read thru the Book of Job before returning to Genesis. This is interesting because one of the 12 sons of Jacob (Issachar?) had a son named "Job"! Chronological Plan (1Yr) - This plan does not read straight through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Rather, these readings are compiled according to recent historical research, taking into account the order in which the recorded events actually occurred. This is a fantastic plan to follow if you wish to add historical context to your reading of the Bible. I have not looked into the Bible and therefore do not know how it has dated the various writings. So, probably there will be some differences as to their order. Some things I am not sure of as the Blue Letter plan puts Daniel after Ezekiel, even though some things I have read put Ezekiel near the end of the captivity. But overall, it seems to be good and now I can read the minor prophets such as Micah near some of the history of the Chronicles. The Psalms are spread throughout the OT from Deut. to Nehemiah. The Psalms in my Bible are not dated and I do not at this time see how Psalms 126 goes with Nehemiah which is one of the latest books of the OT and is dated at 445BC. But a chronological read seems to be one interesting way to read the Bible. Reading as is seems to be a bit confusing at times jumping back and forth in history.
