SDA Hospitals Join Others in Oregon

The North Pacific Union has announced that Adventist Health in Oregon, Is uniting with a public agency, Oregon Health.

This will likely remind people of when in Colorado the SDA hospitals formed a working partnership with the Roman Catholic hospitals.

I think it's a mistake.  OHSU isn't all that great, and they are aligned with at least one other healthcare entity that is very much substandard in care.

OHSU has it's good points and it's not so good points. However, they have had a lot of cooperation in the past as certain patient populations get turfed out from PAMC to OHSU on a regular basis. Some nursing students from WWU also do clinicals at OHSU. Only question I would have is of ownership and what happens if the relationship goes south in the future.
