Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted December 17, 2017 Moderators Posted December 17, 2017 If you have a cell phone, you probably know that some (not all) have a battery that can not be removed and replaced. When the battery is dead, you are expected to replace the phone. The may be a real financial expense. But, you do have some options. * Batteries + will remove and replace some cell phone batteries. For some this is system wide. For some places it is the option of the individual store. * Amazon will sell you a replacement for some of those cellphones. * Amazon well also sell you a replacement battery along wit a took kit that may be needed for some phones. NOTE: People who have a lot of tools may not need this kit. Others will need it. *. The Internet contains videos of step by step instructions to replace these for specific models of phone. NOTE: It is well to follow these down to the exact steps. A failure to follow exactly may result in damage to the phone. * This is easiest if your phone case is snap together. Some are glued together. You can replace the battery in these, it is just a bit more work. NOTE: I am speaking by experience. The battery in my phone failed after less than 2 years of use. I watched the video, and purchased a battery and tool kit form Amazon. Actually I had all of the tools needed, but I was not certain so I purchased the kit. I found it fairly easy to accomplish. The battery was good quality. My phone is now working well. My model phone is a Nexus 5X. Quote Gregory
