Moments Ago, Trump’s Dr. Gave An Update That Made Opposition Lose Their Minds (and probably some Adventistan readers!)

Rear Adm Dr. Ronny Jackson, Physician to the President gives statistics on physical and mental tests from January 12, 2018. We will get all of the stats out of the way and get to what Physician to the President, Rear Adm Dr. Ronny Jackson,  said about the President’s cognitive ability.

Here’s the run down!

President Trump is 75″ (6′ 3″ inches) tall and is 71 years old and 7 months at the time of the exam on January 12, 2018. POTUS weighs 239 pounds! And he has healthy teeth and gums! With a resting heart beat of 68 and a blood pressure of 122/74 the President is in excellent shape! And his vision is 20/30 and with corrective lenses 20/20. Perfect!

His temperature was 98.4. He has a full range of motion and no swelling or edema. With a fasting glucose level of 89, we do not have to worry about diabetes. His white blood cell count is normal so no worries with cancer or any other type of infection. He has no dermatological issues except he does take a cream for rosacea. His cholesterol is 233. With triglyceride is at 129, and HDL of 676 and LDF of 143, which is a 3.3 ratio.

With an LDL below 20 – no concerns for his heart – “his cardiac health is excellent” said Dr. Jackson. It is a bit bothersome but completely in control. Dr. Jackson would like to see him lose 10-15 pounds through diet and exercise. He has great stamina and sleeps about 4-5 hours a night.

Dr. Jackson attributes part of POTUS’ excellent health to his “lifelong abstinence of alcohol and tobacco as the reason he has excellent health.” Dr. Jackson also said he “is very healthy and will remain so for the duration of his Presidency.” We have a very healthy POTUS! And as Dr. Jackson said, “his overall health is excellent.”

POTUS does take a daily vitamin, an aspirin, a hair loss medication, a rosacea cream and a cholesterol medication.

Here’s the kicker! POTUS asked for a Cognitive Exam to put a stop to the rumors of his supposed mental problems.

Dr. Jackson said, “The reason we did the cognitive assessment is because the President asked me to. And the President did exceedingly well on it. It was not because of any concerns I had, it is because the President asked me to.”

President Trump took a cognitive ability test. This is a FIRST. No President has undergone a cognitive ability test before in a physical. It is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test. POTUS scored perfect. 30/30 on his cognitive exam!

Dr. Jackson said, “[I have] no concerns for Trumps cognitive ability. Walter Reed uses the same cognitive test. There’s no concerns for his cognitive abilities. I have found no reason whatsoever to think he has issues with his thought process.”

The reporters went wild. Asking the same question with different angles. And at one point, Rear Admiral Jackson stated, those are “tabloid psychiatry assessments and I am not going to answer those kinds of questions and accusations.” 

One reporter actually asked how POTUS could be in such good health if he eats McDonald’s and doesn’t exercise as he should. And Dr. Jackson responded, “The President just has a good genes. It’s just the way God made him.” 

Do you think this will end the media’s non stop coverage of trying to make POTUS look like he is mentally incapacitated? (or will this stop the attempts to trash the POTUS here?!)

A comment on the assessment test: Once a year I take my grandmother to see her general practitioner. He administers this 30 point test and for the 3rd year in a row, my grandmother has scored above a 25. This means she is still "above" the cutoff score for dementia. But, let me tell you what that score does not tell the doctor. It doesn't tell him that she misses her medication 4 to 5 times per week. It doesn't tell him that she cannot remember what happened earlier in the day, nor does it tell him that she whistles incessantly or that she repeats the same stories 10 or more times per day. As far as her doctor is concerned, she is doing well and can continue living alone without assistance. 

What I'm suggesting is that this measure of cognitive abilities is not extensive or comprehensive. It is a shallow test at best.

Well, neither post mentioned the actual name of the test, it may not even have been the same test. And listening to the doctor who says he sees the president everyday and saw no reason to even do the test, but did it at the presidents insistence. And considering that the uproar continues over the president's capabilities from those who could be considered demented themselves! I think I will go with the good doctors assessment of the president over some talking head at CNN!

I'm not sure I'd pass the test.  Unless I'm working, I usually don't know what the date is...

I do not doubt the results of the examination at all, based upon the actual tests that were given.  As Aubrey pointed out, the cognitive test should not considered for more than it is worth.

Given that many "undemented" people think they would fail the test, if Trump was as demented as some of the Democrats claim, then he should have failed even this "shallow" test.

BTW, every day over 8000 fully demented physicians get up and go to work (per the American Association of Critical Care Nurses)!

Assuming the information in the link is correct--I have no reason to believe you'd share misleading information--then it is, indeed the same test that my grandmother is given at her yearly exam (i.e., the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test).

My source was a publication by the American Assoc of Crit Care Nurses called the voice. I believe this publication goes out to all CCRNs (Critical Care Registered Nurse). Your link may be their source! I am an Alumnus CCRN as I no longer practice at the bedside.
