Dr. Shane Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I guess I view my country like I view my parents. I didn't get to choose where I was born or to whom I was born. So I honor my country like I honor my parents. Do I love my country? Yes. But that doesn't mean I think any less of other countries. Do I approve of everything my country does? No, particulaily the entertainment my country makes and exports to the world. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Robert Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Quote: Stan Jensen said: DO YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY? What? The law is much more than 10 brief precepts....The whole of the law requires (yes here I go again) a life free from self-seeking. Since our "country" is based on Lucifer's system of "self" I would have to say, "NO"! Face it our whole system is based on “coveting”! Besides the Bible says, "Love not the world"....The US is part of this world system….That doesn’t negate living to those laws that promote peace and quench anarchy. Rob Quote
