Men, Women, Military Service in the U.S.

We have had some posts before related to females serving in the U.S. military.  Some have decried their perception that the military has reduced standards in order to admit women.  The following article is NOT  directly addressing the issue of females in the military.  Rather, it is addressing the fact that presently 70% of the youth in the United States are NOT qualified to serve in the military.  As a result, it is becoming harder to enlist the  people required to meet the authorized strengths of the respective services.  The article clearly suggests that the standards must have some changes (for all)  in order to meet those requirements.  This is simply something that the U.S. public should be aware of.
