Hope you don't mind the intrusion, Friend.

It is stated in different ways in various translations, however it appears to me it reiterates God's ultimate authority and sovereignty over all that happens in His universe.

I would suggest the experience of Joseph as he revealed grace to his brothers could be the closest revelation of the correct acceptance of God's will for His disciples of anything of which I'm aware.

[:"red"] "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." [/] Isaiah 45:7 KJV

[:"red"] "The One forming light and creating darkness,

Causing well-being and creating calamity;

I am the LORD who does all these. " [/] Isaiah 45:7 NASB

[:"red"] "Forming light, and preparing darkness, Making peace, and preparing evil, I [am] Jehovah, doing all these things." [/] Isaiah 45:7 YLT

[:"red"] "And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them." [/] Genesis 50:19-21 KJV

Would that we all who profess the name of Christ might be so gracious to those who have wronged us. But that would be like heaven then, wouldn't it? And then we wouldn't hunger so much for the place He's prepared for us and we'd probably be satisfied to settle down here.

[:"red"] "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus... " [/] Philippians 2:5 KJV

[:"red"] "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." [/] John 14:3 KJV

God creates evil in the same way He creates darkness. Darkness is not really anything--it is the absence of something. So also by allowing there to be an absence of righteousness resulting from the choices made by certain of His creatures, God can be said to create evil. It is really just the absence of righteousness.

So what does God do? God actually assumes the blame! He assumes the blame until the Day of Atonement. There is a text which I want you to look for, it’s in the Old Testament, where God is speaking. He says, “I have created evil.” You will find many texts in the Bible where God assumes the blame for many things. For instance God said, “I have hardened Pharaoh’s heart.” These texts cause a lot of problems to many Christians. You wonder why those texts are there. Well, it’s because God assumes the blame until the Day of Atonement.

I like what you said, LifeHisCost.

It somehow, sort of, comes down to a "take it or leave it" situation that itself is only available by His sovereignty.

Take it or leave it ... Taking it will always be with all the best reasons and excuses in available. Leaving it will always be without reason or excuse, wouldn't it be? Perfect mankind was equipt with his perfection. Imperfect mankind was equipt with the plan of salvation. Soo, then, it looks that God can't be blamed coz He had prepared His alibi's.

After all, all things will boil down to that final question of who's in charge.

God is love,

Raphael

Test me with thy might but grant me safe passage. Now, who said that?
