B/W Photodude Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 We recently had a discussion on circumcision here at Adventistan. However, Fulcrum7 has weighed in (actually in 2016) with an article by a Dr Iskander. It was bad enough that her article contained historical inaccuracies, the results of agenda driven bad research and politics, and suggesting that STDs would be reduced if we continued to genitally mutilate baby boys. (Are we not as Christian supposed to be living lives of moral purity and she wants to continue cutting boys so that the effects of immorality don't affect them?!) This article was seriously deficient in standards of ethical behavior. It gets even worse. Dr Iskander is even promoting the idea that circumcision of boys should be a adopted as a fundamental belief of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Therefore, this post qualifies for a theological townhall entry. What is disturbing about this is that much of the world is already horrified at what is done to boys in this country and within their own borders a couple (Denmark and Iceland) are seriously debating making it illegal for all boys regardless of religion. http://www.fulcrum7.com/blog/2016/10/26/paul-circumcision-and-the-modern-church I have communicated with the "owners" of Fulcrum7 and asked that they either take down the article or allow a rebuttal article to be written. They decline to do either. So, my overall impression of this website has taken a serious hit, although others do write good article. But I will no longer help support the site. FWIW, due to Dr Iskander's behavior, another site has removed her material entirely from their site. She had previously posted a similar article on that site and they also refused a rebuttal article. I just wonder when people are going to stop carving their religion into the bodies of their babies. Unbelievable how much evil goes on in the world even by members of the SDA church.
