Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 23, 2018 Members Posted March 23, 2018 Quote that's a lot to be added onto a church building.... who's to be footing the cost of that? Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted March 23, 2018 Author Moderators Posted March 23, 2018 As a person who has formerly lived in the Rocky Mountain Conference, I have some knowledge of what the RMC congregations are doing. Currently church congregations in the area of the RMC, both SDA and non-SDA, are housing homeless people during the Winter that do not meet the requirements (in several areas) of the Red Cross as stated in the article that I cited. If homeless people can be housed under less strict conditions, why introduce stricter requirements at a time when the need for housing will be greater? I also find the requirement that people who are so served will not be allowed to eat anything that contains a pork product. I do not believe that the Bible teaches that we should so restrict others who may be in a critical situation. GayatfootofCross and rudywoofs (Pam) 2 Quote Gregory
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 23, 2018 Members Posted March 23, 2018 lots of churches of many denominations offer shelter to people when they're in need... I find it odd that the NAD "news" seems to think this is a brand new idea.. GayatfootofCross 1 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.
