Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted April 29, 2018 Author Moderators Posted April 29, 2018 In the U.S. there are seven (7) uniformed services. The names of the Uniformed Services in the U.S. are: Army Air Force Coast Guard Marine Corps Navy NOAA Corps: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration with a total of 11,000 + civilian employees.. The ranking, uniformed officer in NOAA may be a Vice Admiral, He/she is in charge of 321 uniformed personnel and 700 civilians. Public Health Service: The ranking uniformed officer may be an Admiral, who is in charge of some 6,500 + employees. The focus of this question is that many people do not know that the Public Health Service and NOAA are both, at least in part, uniformed services. Quote Gregory
