In answer to your question,  Your quote comes from the very last paragraph of the article.  It reflects the thinking of the author of the article.  As I read the rest of the article, I will suggest that the various speakers identified issues by description even if they did not directly state them as a cultural/treasured belief or practice.

I can't wait to hear what those "treasured & mistaken biblical interpretations" are. Coming from spectrum, like a number of other things, what used to be considered true must be surrendered to progressive thought.

Given some of the practices in some Adventist medical centers, I also find it amusing that they hold an ethics conference!

BTW, 23 chromosome pairs make up human genetic profiles. Maybe those "other two pairs" can validate LGBTQ+!
