cricket Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Jesus bids us shine with a pure heart. Let us lift up this child and mother in prayer! Let us boldly join with one another in love and pray that this young woman find the Lord. Who shall be the first to start with the words: "Father, we lift up this trailer-trash to you..." Anyone? How about with these lines: "Father, we lift up this young mother and her children to you. Blessed are all your children, O Lord! Blessed are we to be called the sons and daughters of God. Let us not take this position under your wing in vain..." 13/490 Quote

SandyColorado Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 The sad thing about this - is that human services is investigating her mothering skills. Seems she has had some problems with them. Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted April 26, 2006 Moderators Posted April 26, 2006 I can't believe I know this, but no, that's not quite how it goes. Her baby, Preston, fell from a highchair (or something similar) and was hurt, and the law requires compulsory reporting and a compulsory check with injuries to babies. Her home was visited and the event was found to be a complete accident with no blame attaching to either parent. Basically, what we have here is a young, married woman with one baby and another on the way. Um, isn't that what Christians have been asking for all along? Married people having families? The fact that she's doing it in the tabloid glare makes it harder, but shouldn't we be cheering for this family's success, not circling buzzard-like? (that's not directed at you specifically, Sandy, but at the whole topic). Quote Truth is important
