Will the Earth collapse Could the Earth become a so-called Black Hole? Well, in order for the Earth to become a Black Hole, the entire planet would have to compress to a radius of about one (1) centimeter. How is that for size? Any suggestion as to what the size a person, with a 60 kg. mass would have to compress to in order for that person to become a Black Hole? [Answer: A 60 kg person (132 lb.) would need to compress to a radius of 1/10 that of a proton.] NOTE: I am not suggesting that a 60 kg. mass could ever form a Black Hole. There is some thought that the minimum mass needed to form a Black Hole is a 10 solar mass. But, this is not the end of it. There is some thoughts as to some Black Holes existing in the range of a 3 - 5 solar mass. I am just having some fun with speculation. p301 Quote Gregory

But you are the same, and your years will never end." (NRS) The "heavens" were created as clothing (a cloak) for the earth. In the Genesis narrative, "the earth" was created BEFORE "the heavens". If "the heavens" are rolled up, but the earth somehow remains - would this resemble the dynamics of a black hole? From what I watched on NOVA, the planets all begin rotating ("rolling") around and around the imploded (nova) star, compressing more and more with the increasing force of gravity generated by the implosion. Or perhaps the mass of God, will be even greater than that generated by an imploded giant star. HIS mass could create a "black hole". Just my thoughts. Quote 8thdaypriest

There are a lot of variables in its computation. e.g. On variable depends on the angle in which you are viewing a blackhole. Looking at it from one angle, one might compute a 4 solar mass. However, computed from another angle, the computation would deliver a value of a 16 solar mass. Therefore, computation only computes a minimal mass and in addition, adjustment must be made for the angle in which the Black Hole is viewed. NOTE: Yes, the actual BH will never be seen, but it can still be viewed for the purpose of computation. In response to the comment by Rachel: Under one set of assumptions, the upper limit for a Black Hole is a mass of 40 solar units. It should be noted that there are a lot of unknowns and variables in the above. Quote Gregory
