More thoughts on what some see as "Post-Modernist Adventism"

For a number of years certain theologians have questioned the meandering theological line that George Knight has drawn on key issues.  Today, those observations seem to have been right because since his retirement, George has strongly taken sides with the dissident voices within the church.  The evidence is his attacks on the General Conference in Spectrum.  This online magazine and its blogs are known for such things as giving support for evolution, women’s ordination, LGBQT+ and many personal attacks on the GC and it’s leadership.

Does the SDA Church have any history of appealing to prior issues that came up within it's history and the prior rulings / findings associated with it? 

I'm asking IF there is a mechanism whereby the GC's prior findings / rulings on a matter pertaining to Faith or Morals is (or used to be) viewed as infallible - or said another way - as coming from God? 

Essentially if everyone has authority than NO ONE HAS IT, therefore it would seem a valid argument that the GC would expect compliance with rulings it has previously made that pertain to faith and morals. LGBTQQ issues are generally understood to be issues pertaining to Faith and Morals. I'm not sure there is much of a conspiracy here in this issue. The GC gets most of it's money through donations from the N.A.D. & if I understand the existing issue the N.A.D. will not be complaint with the GC, period.

Notice what he says, he assures the viewers that the N.A.D. will NOT SEPARATE from the SDA Church - he's saying IF the split happens it will be the GC that separates from the N.A.D. 

The simple fact, the Headline here that folks don't seem to be catching is that IF the N.A.D. can reject the G.C. the SPLIT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED and this is simply the N.A.D's way of publically stump busting the GC over the issue. The GC won't let all this money be diverted from itself - the GC will buckle and accommodate the N.A.D.
