Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted November 1, 2018 Moderators Posted November 1, 2018 See: https://spectrummagazine.org/news/2018/florida-hospital-church-board-issues-statement-annual-council We affirm that no region of the world church can be allowed to hamper the mission of another region. When this is the effect of policy, then such policy is non-compliant with the great commission of Jesus Christ and must be opposed. We believe our unity is in Jesus Christ and not in matters of policy, or methods of operation, or systems of governance. Quote Gregory
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 2, 2018 Members Posted November 2, 2018 gotta say, if I was in the upper echelons of the church, I'd be more impressed with multitudinous letters of solidarity from individual churches (such as the one in the OP) than with "statements" from the big corporate Unions, which are basically "faceless" entities with which it's difficult for individuals to identify.. .... sort of like the scene in "Miracle on 34th Street," where one or two letters addressed to Santa Claus weren't very impressive and made no impact on the judge's decision that Kris Kringle was demented — but a slew of letters made a huge difference. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
