Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted November 27, 2018 Moderators Posted November 27, 2018 Dear One project family, A quick reminder that there are only 3 days left to register for the early bird rate. Click this link to register today. Also that today is Giving Tuesday, your support is deeply appreciated. We hope very soon to have a complete list of all our presenters and panelists, but you can start to see the list of those who have confirmed. While we are nearly at 1/3 of our capacity already, we have engaged in countless conversations around the world asking for more details. This February, we are going to open - with unvarnished candor and resolute hope, these questions, and more: How should we think about the current state of Christianity, and in particular some of the ways the Church seems to have lost its way? How can I be a Christian when the Church seems to often abandon Jesus and his way? What does it mean to be a Christian? How should we think about and react to the present condition and crisis in the Adventist Denomination? How should we respond when people say, “I can no longer be a part of a church that doesn’t value all people equally?” What should I do when that person is me? The present condition of the denomination discourages me. Is there an alternative, a better way? Is there a better, brighter Adventism? If so, what is it? And can we try it? When I go back to the place I live should I give up...or is there a reason for hope? Finally, we would recommend our Information page. As that has several questions and answers outlined. We look forward to seeing you this February. Alex Bryan Japhet De Oliveira Tim Gillespie Sam Leonor Rodney Long Paddy McCoy Quote Gregory
JoeMo Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 1 hour ago, The Wanderer said: The One Project was dismantled and something else was being set up in its place? Something else was set up to involve small and/or isolated congregations to bend together for common devotions and worship. I receive their blog every day called "The Daily Walk". My wife and I use it for daily devotions. My perception of the upcoming TOP convocation is like a reunion to discuss pertinent issues in the church that have recently surfaced. IMHO, it's a good thing (although I can't afford to go). Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted November 28, 2018 Author Moderators Posted November 28, 2018 1) Yes that is exactly what TOP did evolve into, and yes, TOP did die--it ended. 2) Yes, this is a resurrection from the dead of The One Project, in one sense of the word. As to the future, I have no idea. People can only wait and see. Quote Gregory
