Jesus is the True Rest, the True Sabbath. We find true rest in him:

Matthew 11:28–30 (KJV): 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The temporary or typical rest of the Sabbath has been superseded.

I tend to think of the Sabbath not as a Commandment, but a privilege.   I don't "have to observe" the Sabbath; I "get to enjoy" the Sabbath!

I also look at the Sabbath as a prophecy - those of us who are in the Kingdom will enjoy an eternity of "rest" from the pointless toil, temptations, and consequences of sin that plague us in this age.
