If the following article does not challenge, you are either not thinking, or not involved.

no, there's a 3rd option:  I found the above article by Chuck Scriven flat out boring and wordy.  While wading through it, I kept wishing he'd just get to the point.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

I also found the article unnecessarily verbose. I don't know who Charles Scriven is, but this is sort of circumlocution is typical of anyone whose livelihood depends on being in good standing in the SdA community.

That the SdA tradition of calling EGW's books "The Spirit of Prophecy" is not biblical seems to me to be so utterly self evident that there ought to be no dispute over this. That her writings contain inaccuracies ought also to be self-evident. But it is also self-evident that no one who seeks to maintain a public profile in the SdA community can openly and unequivocally state the foregoing without being treated as an enemy of the church.

God never said "Thou shalt not think".

Perrepaul:  I strongly suspect that Charles Scriven is not  considered to be in good standing by some elements of SDA society.

Allright, I will restate, in my words, the center of what Scriven is attempting to say:

Revelation 12:17 & 19:10 have been important verses to SDAs who have applied them to EGW.  To what extent has this application been either false or limited and in reality those verses have applied to a proclaimation of the justice of Jesus in a social gospel?

That is it in a nutshell.
