Amazon Delivers

For those of you who purchase from Amazon, I thought you might be interested in the following which I have experi3enced:

1)  I ordered a small item from Amazon early Friday morning, which a projected delivery date of Monday, due to the fact that I have Prime.

a)  Friday evening, that item was placed on an airplane, in Oregon, and flown to Louisville, KY.

b)  Saturday morning, the item was placed on an airplane and flown to Sacramento.

c)  It was delivered to my home early Saturday morning.

 

2)  Early Sunday morning, I placed a 2nd order for the same item.

a)  Later that Sunday, the item was shipped from Dallas, Texas.

b)  It arrived in Sacramento, early today, Monday.

c)  I expect for it to be delivered to my home, later today, Monday.

 

1)  I am impressed with that delivery.

2)  Imagine the shipping costs, by air, to go from Oregon, to KY, to CA, for a $10 item, and at no charge to me!

 3)  The 1st shipped from Oregon, and the 2nd from Texas.  Amazon knows how to inventory and ship for best service.

Yes they do!! I've even ordered stuff that they said I'd get in two days. but it would show up the following day or even that night if I ordered early in the day. Of course it would come from Orlando!! ?

yes  it  is  amazing  how the different  online  companies  get the  packages  to  its  customers

I am not so impressed with Amazon, however, given that they are the only game in town unless you consider Walmart a serious competitor, I am stuck for the most part using them. If you are not a prime customer, they will routinely just sit on your order for about six days before they will even ship it. I don't mind slow shipping methods, but that is just harassment to force people to sign up for prime.
