Evaluate the following sentences:

1)  I have as many brothers as I have sisters.  My brothers each have twice as many sisters as they have brothers.  What is the total number of brothers and sisters?

3)  What was the   biggest ocean in the world before Balboa discovered the Pacific Ocean?

4)  What occurs once in a minute, twice in a week, and once in a year?

5)  I have a book in which the forward comes after the epilogue, the end is in the first half of the book and the index comes before the introduction. What is my book?.

6)  What is so fragile that when you say its name you break it?

Not so sure these require Mensa-level cognition. ?

The Wanderer's answer to question # 1,  three (3), is a correct answer to another puzzle in the book.  The correct answer to the question that I asked, is 7.    There are 4 women and three men and the woman talking is one of the women.

The other two responses are both correct:  e and silence.

Yes, I agree with Bravus that the answers do not reflect Mensa level cognition.

I'm struggling with the book one (5)... unless it's a book in Hebrew being read by a person with assumptions in English.

2), 3) and 7) each just require careful reading and a little thought about what each word means...

Bravus:  You are correct as to requiring careful reading and thought as to what each word actually means.

As to # 5:  I considered that one to be poorly worded.  I considered rewording it, but ended up in recording it as written in the book.  Perhaps, it will be more helpful for me to reword it below.  It this more helpful?

5)  I have a book in which forward comes after epilogue, end is in the first half of the book and index comes before the introduction. What is my book?.

I find #2 to be interesting:  For a priest to marry his widow's sister, the priest would have to be dead and therefore not able to marry anyone.
