B/W Photodude Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Congrats to Bibi Netanyahu. As many are aware Bibi Netanyahu has been re-elected premier of Israel for a historic fifth term. But it just so happens that I was reading thru 1 Chron the other day when I came across the name Nethaniah. Nethaniah doesn't have much of what he did recorded that I saw, but his name comes up about 20 times according to Bible, mostly as the father of two different characters. But I came across this verse: The fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve: 1 Chronicles 25:12 Funny, the "fifth" to Nethaniah! So, what does this have to do with Bibi? I am thinking as I read this, because I am somewhat familiar with how names can change in sounding from the Hebrew to the English translation, and it became very interesting. JoeMo Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I looked up this Nethaniah guy; and not references are about his son Ishmael. I can't decide whether this Ishmael was one of the good guys or bad guys. BTW - Congrats to Bibi! I heard he is seriously considering having Israel annex the West Bank as part of Israel rather than just an occupied land. So much for a two-state solution with the Palestinians. God gave that land to Israel anyways. Quote
