Administrators Gail Posted May 13, 2019 Administrators Posted May 13, 2019 Galatians 5:22 (NET) says: Quote But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control The translators’ note is as follows: ”Another way to punctuate this is ‘love’ followed by a colon (love: joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control). It is thus possible to read the eight characteristics following ‘love’ as defining love.” JoeMo and phkrause 2 Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted May 17, 2019 Author Administrators Posted May 17, 2019 Well, I'm sorry you were shot at for the sermon! I find that the topic of love is so large I can never get to the bottom of it. A human point of view, maybe. But then I read something in the Bible which blows me away yet again and opens up a whole new door. Jesus calls us friends, and this is in ADDITION to being His Bride. We know that marriages on earth are best when the couple are friends as well as spouses. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
