OK, I confess, I like chocolate, but my taste is very narrow. Milk chocolate is out out out, unless it's connected to a macadamia nut. White "chocolate" is miscategorized, IMO (no chocolate flavor there). And my dark chocolate should not taste like baker's chocolate. Lindt's Lindor Dark Chocolate Truffles - now those are yummy! Moderators Bravus Posted May 24, 2006 Moderators Posted May 24, 2006 I actually enjoy some white 'chocolate' now and then... hey, it tastes good, I really don't care what the purists want to call it! Particular honorable mention for the white Toblerone. Dark chocolate encasing crystallized ginger is definitely a favourite at our place, too. And, to our taste, the Canadian commercial chocolate tastes somewhat soapy, so we'll probably eat more than we should of our Aussie favourites, the Cherry Ripe chocolate bar and the Tim Tam chocolate biscuit, when we get home. Planey Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 When we toured the Cadbury factory in Hobart, Tasmania, we were told that all of the cocoa plant was used. Even the fibrous parts which were used for packing or for burning in the furnace. Anyway I believe that part of the colourless cocoa "butter" is used in the manufacture of white chocolate.
