Thanks for posting, I think he makes many good points!! Especially the one where he says, "we can look the other way!"

I wasn't impressed by the article. Not that I am surprised that Seibold would write it as it is just more of the anti-male hysteria going on today. And again, wonder why men just aren't so interested in church these days?

Excellent article! Is it perfect? Few articles are. He may have taken a point or two just a bit too far, but I have to agree wholeheartedly with his main points. Is the article anti-male? Absolutely not! It's anti-sin, which should appeal to every regenerate heart.

If I've found one method that is better than another, when it comes to avoiding lust, it's to remember that you are looking at a human being -- a soul to be saved or lost -- not at an object.

I'm grateful ( not that grateful) that old age has pretty much removed that temptation from me.  I still appreciate a beautiful woman; but appreciation is as far as it goes.

Thank you, Pastor, for showing that man also need to be responsible for lusting. I truly agree that the reading made excellent points. Both male and female have to check themselves for the lust they have in their mind, instead of blaming it on others!

Happy Sabbath!

One of the efforts of those promoting women's ordination has been the building up of women. One of the things you will not see (extremely rare) is any article that points out sin to women in the church. I recall one article I read in a union paper where the wife was discussing how nagging and generally discontent she was about everything. By the end of the article it was decided that it was all the husbands fault!

An equal and opposite reaction has been to tear down everything men are about in the church and in our culture. From the boy scouts, the way kids are treated in schools, to the man shed movement, international days of recognizing men and father's days, and on an on, you will see a decided effort to tear down men and boys and anything that they do. The result of this is that according to some statistics over 70% of boys will be out of the church by the age of 17. If the "white knights" are happy with this, it is a sad moment. However, there will be many more before the end of the age.

The thing that gets ignored in all of this is that there are nearly equal amounts of adultery going on between the sexes. Women don't get into adultery by accident. Somewhere the "wicked thoughts" were entertained. And if you do not think women are staring at men in a less than chaste manner, just search "female crotchwatchers" on Youtube.

The problem with this is Ellen White had no problem delivering messages to women on their behaviors. I am also sure that God Himself watching over the earth sees female misbehavior just as clearly as male misbehavior and none will slip into heaven thinking they pulled something over. One thing that concerns me thru this lack of messages to women is that some will be so deluded as to think they are just fine when in reality, they are not.
