ChildofChrist Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Today was the last day of the school year for Nashville Metro. I've made arrangements with the electric, post office etc. Been packing for a move from central TN to central FL. On this coming Memorial weekend Sunday, some friends will be over to assist in the loading of the rental truck. After a quick cleaning, I am heading south. Please pray for safety for myself and those around me on the expressways. It is a busy time and the fuel costs have dropped a little bit, for which I am very thankful. My sister's health is the major reason for heading back. When we do have some face to face talks, the Lord needs to speak thru my lips and give her the needed encouragement and guidance. I will end up missing both campmeetings, the one here in TN and the one in FL. May all the brothers and sisters be blessed and have their fires lit so the work will come to a quick end. Thanks, and till next time.... Administrators Naomi Posted May 26, 2006 Administrators Posted May 26, 2006 Hello Child, I will certainly be praying for traveling mercies for you and that the Holy Spirit will give you the words to encourage your sister. Interesting that we are both returning to our previous states of residence. They say you can never return home again ... at least and find things the same. Let's compare notes and see how returning works for us. Courage Naomi Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
ChildofChrist Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 I left Sunday afternoon, only by the grace of the Lord and special friends He placed in my life. Between physical and emotional upsets, not everything was packed. Somehow...everything was loaded and since I was too tired to sleep, I drove! Leaving out from the west side of Nashville, I was soon heading south towards Atlanta. A friend became a nay sayer and I knew that I needed to make it over MountEagle, and I did. After passing through Atlanta, I got a couple hours of rest, inspite of the heated truck cab and windows shut tight against sketters. I drove in short spurts and when I saw the morning's first light, I took off and kept going until I arrived south of Gainesville just prior to the noon hour. I took off small items and on Wednesday morning, friends showed up and the entire job was done in less than two hours. Right now, tote boxes are sitting on the deck but everything is covered with a large tarp. Somewhere I've seemed to have lost a day or two. I was thinking that today would be Friday. A pleasant surprise to have some time off to rest. Attended church in Gainesville. There were quite a few folks present despite of it being the last week of campmeeting. Discovered that a couple of old friends have membership there. Tomorrow will be the visit with family members. Still have A LOT of unpacking to do. Cleo, the cat, seems to be happy for my company. Although all her needs were met, there were stretches of up to 5 days that she didn't see a human. At the moment, it's rainy out and she is curled up in my rocker next to me. Praising God for His mercies and blessings most abundantly!! Quote Wakan Tanka Kici Un ~~Child of Christ~~
