Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted July 3, 2019 Moderators Posted July 3, 2019 The author of the following has written a 2-part series on being a pastor, as he transitions to retirement. I am posting the 2nd part of his series as I find it interesting and worthy of consideration. https://atoday.org/part-2-the-sausage-factory/ NOTE: I am not suggesting anything negative about the 1st part of the series. phkrause 1 Quote Gregory
Members phkrause Posted July 3, 2019 Members Posted July 3, 2019 Thanks for posting. I did read both articles and enjoyed them. I did agree pretty much as to the way people are treated. I worked for the church for about 17 years. First at FFT and than at AUC. At both in printing. If he thinks that pastors are treated so/so, those of us that were not in teaching or pastoring are treated even worse!! Like in the military those that are privates are always told we are lower than whale @#$!. That's how we felt sometimes. Anyway the articles were good!! I did notice that there is another one coming, forward to that one as well!! Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. GHansen Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Pastor Siebold has long distinguished himself as a voice of Christian civility and reason. His gay "friendly" position, regardless of its rightness or wrongness, is a good indicator of the direction and probable landing place of homosexuals in the denomination. Quote
