Present Politics are Too Boring and Depressing.

It's too bad George B. didn't advise George W. to pick up his old partner, Dan Quayle, as VP instead of Cheney. Just think how much more fun listening to the evening news would be - at the very least George W. would have had someone else to blame.....(as long as he didn't go hunting with him).

When Dan Quayle was elected to the Senate he promised his family not to let Washington come between him and them. US senators have one of the highest divorce rates of any group of Americans.

Dan Quayle faithfully attended to his senate duties but would not let the Washington night-life take him away from hours spent in his home with his family.

He rarely attended parties and mixers with lobbiests and members of the media. This is why the media disliked him so. Dan Quayle didn't play the game like the media expected him to and they were aghast when George H.W. Bush asked him to be his running mate. The media constantly hounded and rediculed him during his years as vice-president.

Dan Quayle is one of the few authors to have released a book on tape read by himself (the author). In April 1993, The Atlantic Journal published an article entitled, Dan Quayle was right. Dan Quayle had his prioroties in order. He choose a close relationship with his family over Washinton mixers with the press corps. His example is a fine role model for other politicians to follow.
