The SDA Church  is beginning to take steps to address this situation.  It will take time for the SDA efforts to filter down through our administrative structure to the individual congregation.  I have chosen not to publish specific comments on this, at this time.  So, my publication above was focused on a governmental recommendation.

There is a grass roots effort at one of the SDA churches I attend to have at least one active shooter drill per year and a security team on Sabbath.  The pastor is resisting it because he doesn't want to have firearms in the church.  Several of the larger non-SDA churches and mosques around town have armed security in attendance for Sunday services.
