8thdaypriest Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 A verse in the Torah reading for the week, got me thinking. Deuteronomy 4:20 "But the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, an inheritance, as you are this day." (NKJ) Israel would be the LORD's "inheritance". What else did Jesus Christ inherit? And from whom did He inherit? Quote 8thdaypriest

He inherited "the land" promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He was the "Son of David" through Solomon. He inherited the right to be King over Israel. He inherited "a better name" than the angels, because He was "the Son of God". Question: How did He inherit the priesthood? Or did He "inherit" that? Question: Did He "inherit" the whole earth? Or was the earth His to begin with? How does He gain possession and dominion of the whole earth? Quote 8thdaypriest
