I do believe pediatric health providers should monitor for adverse childhood experiences, but is this just a research tool or will such information be forwarded to someone who can make a difference?  Would additional mental health support for such children be paid for?  How? 

I'd like to mention the mass shootings, and strongly suggest that any teacher reports of violent tendencies, aggressive acting out, bullying, or even aggressive art imagery from the senior year of high school, be included in background checks.  Teachers should be encouraged to report high risk students.  Many shooters don't go beyond high school.  Including records/reports from that senior year would go a long way towards identifying individuals with mental problems which could lead to violent behaviors.  Such individuals should not be allowed to possess firearms, unless cleared by two mental health professionals.    

Also - juvenile court records must be included in background checks for weapons possession.
