Gregory will be going into surgery this coming Thursday for injuries he recently (and briefly spoke about). This was not an insignificant accident or insignificant injuries but Gregory was upbeat and openly acknowledged he feels Blessed because this could have been MUCH, MUCH worse than it was. He spent quite a bit of time at the hospital today getting ready for Thursday. He asked me to save him the pain of pecking one key at a time & I was absolutely honored to do this for him.

Surgery went better than we thought it might go.  3-pins  in finger.  Major issue remains,  swelling
& its potential side effect which includes infection.

If its a swelling caused by "edema" you should be OK soon, with treatment? It sounds painful whatever you have had happen; you are in my prayers my friend. :)

(2 Cor 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

As I recovered in post-op, the first words that came out of my mouth were:  "I am lucid.  I am cogent.  And you can tell my wife that I have not lost my marbles."  The RN looking after me burst into laughter.
