cricket Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 What are the Sabbath school age brackets in your church? We have: Cradle Roll 0-3, Kindergarten 4-6, Primary 7-9, Juniors 10-15, and Youth 16-18. My kids fall in the Juniors range and find the class extremely boring. It isn't appropriate for the younger ones, or the older ones. Do all Adventist churches lump the 10-15 age range in one class? I think that works better but I guess it will depend on numbers of childrend and available teachers/leaders. Back in my day (!!!!!) we had juniors 10-13 and youth 14+ - made me feel very grownup, going into a class with the 20 somethings <img src="/adventist/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Quote

I went to churches where Jr. was 10-13 (or grades 5-8) and then the kids were pretty much away at academy (and I was young enough I have no idea what the local HS kids did--must have been youth or something like that). Also attended a church where Jr. was grades 5,6, and earliteen was gr. 7,8. But I don't think I've ever been in a church where the jr. high age kids were combined with the high school age kids unless it was a tiny church. M Quote
