He started on a man from the past, Jay Adams who could not get the Testimonies and finally he did. He also stated that "Adventists believe that the Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White are their authority.” Well in retrospect that is true, Adventist don't claim that is true. In another one of quest he used in his commentary on Roman the 8 letter word you was referring too. This, I thought, was just so irreverence. Then he left me clueless on; "The biggest surprise in this interpretation was the connection between Fundamentalism and racism, a connection that persisted in the Adventist community. Michael left little doubt that the Adventist drift toward Fundamentalism was a historic mistake." So drifting toward Fundamentalism leads to prejudice? I have always believe in the literal words that the Bible speak. The Bible also speaks in prophetic things through symbols that we use as tool ourselves. That still make it literal when unravel the mystery that only THE HOLY SPIRIT gives through understanding. He had many quest but too me no true answers. I truly try to get an understanding from this article but irreverence took the day! Happy Sabbath! Quote
