olger Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Hello, dear friends. We just completed a trip to Norway. It was really nice. Our American dollar doesn't have the impact that I wish it did, but maybe the meetings we held will have a spiritual impact. Very nice people over there. Nice to be home olger Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Clio Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Welcome Home!!! I hope you have some wonderful photos to share with us here! Can't wait to hear all about your trip. I had a "Norway" experience last week, that I keep meaning to type up and share... Maybe I'll get to it this weekend. Quote A heart where He alone has first place.
Administrators Gail Posted June 9, 2006 Administrators Posted June 9, 2006 I wondered where you had gone... Great to have you back, Gerry! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
whbae Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Many years ago, a TV program called "Arm Chair Traveler" said Norway is the most beautiful country in the world. I agree with this statement. I have been to Norway many times. Latest one was last June. I am married to a Norwegian woman. Won Quote
Pockey Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Welcome back Olger, Did you get one of those trolls as a souvenir? Quote
olger Posted June 10, 2006 Author Posted June 10, 2006 Hi Sid. The noses were too big to fit in the suitcases <img src="/adventist/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I did get a small box of troll drops (hard candy). We were invited there to conduct a marriage & relationship conference. We also did private counseling during & after the meetings. After the seminar was over, we (two couples) headed north to gojvik, lillehammer and Lom and over to the fjord where we took a boat ride and then to the glacier. Loenfjord was one of our favorite places. Just lovely, as was the fjord. God is working in the lives of our brethren there. brother gerry Ps. Didn't go to Bergen. Probably would have been raining anyway. I would have liked to see the Troll A platform that was the centerpoint of the Discovery movie: Skyscraper at Sea. Awesome!
