It isnt that SDA forum run by a couple of ignorant rednecks of Bellyache and Scourge of the South, who's motto is

"If you aint a gun toting rebublican you aint ____!"

All progress in the Spiritual Life is knowing and Loving GOD

"there is non upon earth that I desire besides YOU" PS 73:25

That perspective changes EVERYTHING-suffering and adversity are the means that makes us hungry for GOD. Disapointments will wean us away wordly occupations. Even sin(when repented of) becomes a mechanism to push us closer to HIM as we experience His Love and Forgiveness.

The forum I was referring to didn't have an Adventist presence (except mine)...most are Baptist, I believe.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Every blasted time I start thinking "okay Pam, you're on your way to Christ - you're finally getting a tentative foothold," some stupid Christian steps up to the plate and socks me one in the gut! I've about had it.

[:"red"] "Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of their religious stand]. " [/] 2 Timothy 3:12 AMP

Soon after choosing to follow Jesus, the Christian is made aware that he/she has chosen sides in a mortal combat. Only the saving grace of Jesus prevents us from being annihilated for eternity. Therefore it is important to put our lives in full submission to the only One capable of giving us that protection.

[:"red"] "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." [/] Ephesians 6:12 KJV

[:"red"] "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

" [/] James 4:7 KJV

[:"red"] "Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;

in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. " [/] Eph 6:11,13-17 NASB emph theirs LHC

It is not uncommon to find our most painful moments among the body of believers. That is not saying that the hurts come from the believers.

[:"red"] "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." [/] Matthew 7:15 KJV

I have always found the best way to meet those situations is to follow the example of Jesus and let Him take care of the ending results.

[:"red"] "Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:" [/] 1 Peter 2:23 KJV

When you truly believe Jesus to be sovereign, He will give you the Spirit to find strength even in difficult circumstances

God bless you in your efforts to serve, for Jesus sake.

[:"red"] "For who is the greater, the one who reclines at table (the master), or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am in your midst as One Who serves. " [/] Luke 22:27 AMP

Sometimes it doesn't hurt to step back and take stock. But know beyond a shadow of a doubt, your highest aspirations will only be filled in your friendship with Jesus.

No!!! I think you have been a blessing. You have shared with others your story and it has been encouraging to me, you have also shared your pain, and my heart went out to you, and you have given hope and advise to us on how we can share the gospel with a group that we know nothing about...

I appreciate you being here, you are a 'keeper'.

This sentiment bears repeating. Even if sometimes your brothers and sisters in Christ don't happen to understand you, Pam, we as disciples of Christ have been given a charge that also bears repeating.

Meant to comment on this post earlier, but was unable to do so...

Let me first point out that the Baptist's have a bit of an "either or" with a caviot philosophy...You are either Christ's or your not..unless you did something really really bad...like you're an ax murder or a con artist or , in your case, a priest of a coven. And if you convert to being a SDA, well, Pam, I am sorry, but in the eyes of the Baptist, you are going to...um...that other eternal place....

Pam, you have got so much going for you...And I would hope that you would concider the suspecions of other people as just that...suspecions...YOU, OTOH, need to focus on what Christ has done for you...Our little group here can encourage you in your walk with Christ...Just remember, thier walk doesn't always fit and help yours...but thier intention are worthy and come from a good place. God has just led them in a different path...

Be friendly with all....but be discriminatory with your inner circle of friends and keep Christ at the center and I promise, you will be blessed and a blessing to others....

Ok, It is time I got off my
