I thought the article was pretty good! But I still believe that the biggest factor is money in sending kids to our schools!! I was able to go to Greater New York Academy my last year in High School, only because the funds became available!! The church, the conference and my parents each paid 1/3 of the cost. Otherwise I probably would never have been able to go. My brother was able to go for 3 years. But in college he had to have loans and work to pay for school, otherwise he also would not have been able to go!! So as far as I'm concerned its a money factor!!

I think if I had to do it all over again with my kids, I would have home schooled them. One of my kids has flatly informed me that the door of an Adventist church would never be darkened by them related to the way they were treated in church school. I feel fortunate, mostly(!),that I went to church schools, but I guess it is not always a pleasant experience for everyone. I will withhold the reasons for my kids feeling regarding church school, but I can understand their feelings.

This is a serious problem throughout the church. My kids would say the same; and yes, I think it best to with hold the reasons. Its a nasty mess and likely always will be.

(2 Cor 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
