Do you talk in Christian "code"?

This is a very interesting article that examines the "Let me pray about it" answer that many Christians give to questions and/or requests from people.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

::nods:: I think there's lots of Christian code language spoken in the SDA church....most of it I have not figured out. Here's what I *have* figured out:

Spirit of Prophecy = Ellen G. White

the Remnant = the Adventist church

it's the Sabbath = when the clock hits 5:59:58 this evening it's okay to watch TV, or go swimming, or go downhill skiing (it's okay to do cross-country skiing on the Sabbath)

You should just look at Jesus as an example = nah nah nah nah nah naaahhhh, I'm just a sinner too, so dont bug me with questions

I'm a vegetarian = how can you eat something that had a face?

Academy = high school

Dorcas = Community services center = Dorcas = retired folks sewing quilts

Nominating committee = group of people with whom other church members try to avoid speaking during the late summer months

Communion Sabbath = day to plan a trip to the mountains, or the beach, or the desert, or the etc..

Pam, you are on a roll. You are much more Adventist than you realized.

Now, if you had listed "Ingathering."!
